Cash, Check or Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and HSA) are all accepted.

Payment is due at the time of service.

Doctoral Therapist

Initial Intake Session: $250

Standard 45-minute sessions: $200

Extended 60-minute sessions: $250

Associate Therapist

Initial Intake Session: $100

Standard 45-minute sessions: $80

Therapy should never be cost-prohibitive for those in need. Please discuss the possibility of a reduced rate on your contact form or at your intake appointment.

During the intake, you’ll meet with your therapist one-on-one to discuss what you’re hoping to gain from the therapeutic environment. Typically sessions are weekly, however because therapy is individualized it depends on the your needs. It’s crucial to note that therapeutic growth happens in and out of therapy. Therefore, you’re in charge of your desired journey. We’re here to support you in whatever capacity needed so you can meet your personal and therapeutic goals.

LPC-S:

A licensed mental health professional who has not only achieved licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) but has also met additional requirements to become a supervisor for other counselors who are working towards licensure.

LPC:

A mental health professional who has completed the necessary education, training, and licensure requirements to provide counseling and therapy services.

LPC-Associate:

An individual who has completed a master's degree in counseling or a related field and is in the process of accumulating the supervised (from an LPC-S) clinical experience required for full licensure.

The role of an LPC-S involves providing supervision, guidance, and mentorship to individuals who are in the process of obtaining their professional counseling licenses (LPC-Associate). Supervised experience is often a crucial part of the licensure process for aspiring counselors. LPC-Ss play a key role in helping these individuals develop their clinical skills, ethical practices, and overall competency in the field.

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged the no show/late cancelation fee of $100. Cancellations can be made by calling or texting 469-667-2681, emailing info@thedesiredjourney.com, or contacting your provider directly.

Effective January 1, 2022, a ruling went into effect called the “No Surprises Act” which requires practitioners to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” about services delivered which are considered either out-of-network or cash pay. The Good Faith Estimate works to show the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service, a diagnosis, and a reason for therapy. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.

The Desired Journey does NOT perform court evaluations nor voluntarily appear in court on behalf of individuals, children, or families. In the event that it is legally required by court order or subpoena to participate in any legal proceedings, a $2,000 retainer fee will be charged to cover required services, which are billed at $250 per hour.
